About Unwoke.Space
We don't want to just provide a space free from this unwoke nonsense...
Our job is to promote systems which uphold the continual iterative search for truth as the highest ideal, be it:
- Objectively in the world around via the Scientific Method. (Karl Popper)
- Dynamically, testably and falsifiably with thinking actors via the free market.
- Debating of ideas via free speech and use of critical thinking.
- Metaphysically with self improvement and self discovery in Personal Spiritual answers.
- Searching for the positive aspects and wisdom of all histories, but notably western civilization.
- Any other iterative process where the truth is sought in highest regard to build and create over destroy and tear down.
What is different here?
Unwoke.space operates just like any other search engine, but also has a number of features that most do not.
- Promote Objective or Wholesome Content - We do our best to elevate those who are against this, and provide means of fighting back against it. Be it on a wholesome spiritual side, or based on objective reality.
- Demote Woke/Authoritarian Content - You see the opposite trend from most other search engines. The more woke or authoritarian a site or source is, the farther down in search rankings it falls. (See our guidelines below)
- Sort by your Likes - Every result has a thumbs up and down for the page and for the whole site. Your likes move results up or down in your own searches. When you are logged in, your votes also count towards the ranking for everyone. Without an account your votes are kept just for you, on your own computer, anonymously.
- Sort by Tags - Omit things you don't care about, or promote that which you do.
- Files and IPFS - The Files (IPFS) tab finds files on the web, in torrents and on IPFS, with DOS-style wildcards such as
report*.pdf. See Search syntax. - TOR - The TOR tab searches .onion sites. When you visit us through Tor, a 🧅 next to the logo shows it.
- Ads - This is how you connect with people. We encourage all users to post anything they may have to offer / trade or sell. Use the option in your account menu or contact us to place an ad. We have a host of deals and coupons for those doing it for the first time.
- Privacy - We don't sell your information, we do our best not to keep information about you. Our server logs do not keep your full IP address or your search words. The closer you can be to a unique anonymous entity, (even to us) the better.
- Search region - Results are tuned to your country (the United States until you change it with the flag at the top). Your choice is kept in your browser, and on your account when you are signed in. For searches like "pizza near me" we add your approximate city, looked up from your IP address for that one search; neither the address nor the city is kept, and the results page tells you what was added.
- More to come! - Our goal is to connect you to the vast majority of people that simply don't care for this authoritarian push.

What do we Censor?
We don't completely censor. YOU DO.
We absolutely promote and demote content, but you make the ultimate choice if you don't want to see something again. We have typical adult controls for adult content (SafeSearch; it is always strict until you log in). You can also elevate URLs that we naturally might push down. With enough consensus it's elevated for everyone.
There will always be mistakes. If you think a URL has been promoted or demoted in contradiction to our guidelines above, please let us know!
We give you a reasonable baseline but ultimately you choose what you see and what you don't.
How do we contact you?
We love feedback! Or if you've found a bug please let us know.
Best way is to send us a message here
(also the "Contact us" link at the bottom of every page). No account needed.
